   Hello Dan,

   First, I want to say, love the music. I'm always on the look out for great praise and worship music. It's such a blessing to me. I heard about your music through Bible Study Podcasts, and I loved the first song I heard and now I'm hooked.

   I do have a suggestion, if you don't mind. This is very powerful song. One that is completely captivating. It frustrates me at the end when it fades out. I'd love to hear a big BANG finish if possible. Of if you choose the fade out, fade out to just the guitar and let the word "Freedom" be stong and full at the end of the song.

   Just my thoughts. Thanks for all you do.

   Melody,

   Thanks for the encouragement and the comment. I agree with you about the ending, I feel the same way. I can't remember exactly why but there was a problem like the mic fell off the stand or something, and I had to fade at the point I did.

   That's kinda the dilemma I find myself in. Time and cost is always of the essence. So sometimes I just post a song with some (or many) imperfections. As much as that urks me, it's either that or not post at all. I wish I had the time and resources to achieve a more finished sounding song. Hopefully I'll get a little better at the technical side of things as time goes on.

   I just discovered your podcast and website and wonderful talent. I really appreciate and love all your songs. I've been playing and singing for three years, the three years that I've come to know my Savior, and music has been the dominant media that God has always used in my walk. I thank you for the tabs to the songs, I also write some of my own, but love to fall in love with someone elses creation and then play it also. Continue to do what you're doing, it's raw and beautiful sounding, it's clear you're a man after God, and I love how that is evident in your songs. It's what we all strive for in our walk to be as close to Him every day of our lives. God Bless

   I just discovered the podcast and heard some of your stuff. It's great hearing new worship songs like this. Well I am part of a worship team at a start up church and we are in the process of trying to radically change what we are doing. I was looking for some new songs and I love this one.     dan the man! i am positive that you get generalized comments all the time about how people just love your music and how they appreciate what the Lord has been doing through you and how they just want to say thank you... well, that's pretty much what this is. i can't express how refreshing it is to not only find and listen to a delightful, Word-inspired, uplifting set of tunes, but for it to be free. the Gospel is free to anyone who will take of it. i realize musicians have to eat, too. so i know they need to make a living, but for you to generously give of the gifts that God has given you... it is very encouraging. keep it up brother.     Thank you for a nice song! I have personally arranged over 150 of today’s popular worship songs – more times than I can count – but even having an intimate relationship with every song doesn’t mean that I know exactly what song will work with the theme for this week’s services. Sometimes I truly cannot find a song that ties in perfectly; if that happens I have a tendency to write one.
